An assessment that determines alternative roles an individual has the skills and ability to conduct. This assessment is typically used within situations where an individual’s previous role no longer exists or they can no longer perform their normal form of employment due to injury or medical condition. This can be used for claim assessment purposes or return to work planning. Depending on the needs of the situation, this can vary. It might be a desktop exercise – making recommendations based on an individual’s training and experience, in addition to their current cognitive and physical functional. It could include an in depth face-to-face assessment with an Occupational Psychologist to explore an individual’s hobbies, interested and aptitudes.
